Remodeling, Additions & General Contracting in Las Vegas

From a kitchen refresh to a second story, everything we do runs through one licensed point of contact. You get a single price, a single schedule, and one person to call.

What we take on

Construction by Mirage holds a Nevada general contractor license, which means we can run a project that touches structure, plumbing, electrical and mechanical rather than only the finish trades. In practice that covers most of what a Las Vegas homeowner actually wants done: a kitchen, a bathroom, an addition, a condo renovation, a basement, floors and paint.

The valley has quirks, and they shape almost every job here. Nearly every house sits on a concrete slab, so moving a drain means cutting concrete instead of crawling under a floor. Indoor humidity runs from single digits in June to something much wetter in monsoon season, which is why flooring advice written for a national audience fails here. Most neighborhoods sit inside an HOA with an architectural committee. And Clark County, the City of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson each run their own building department with rules that are similar but not identical.

None of that is a reason to be nervous about remodeling. It is a reason to hire someone who has been working inside it since 2005.

One contract, not five

What a single point of contact takes off your plate

01

Scope and pricing

One written estimate naming materials, allowances and payment milestones, so you are reading a real document instead of a number on a page.

02

Permits and plan check

We prepare the application, answer plan-check comments and book the inspections with whichever jurisdiction your address answers to.

03

HOA submittals

Architectural review packets, insurance certificates naming your association, and someone tracking it until it clears.

04

Trade sequencing

Rough-in before drywall, inspection before anything gets covered, counters templated after cabinets are set. Getting that order wrong is what turns six weeks into twelve.

05

Licensed subs only

Every trade on your job carries its own license and insurance, and we hold the certificates on file rather than taking someone at their word.

06

Lien releases

We collect releases as subs are paid, so a sub who was not paid by someone else can never put a lien on a house you have already paid for.

Not sure which one you need?

One trade, no permit. A repaint, a floor, a drywall repair. Book the service directly. You do not need a general contractor holding your hand through it, and we will tell you so rather than sell you something bigger.

Two or more trades, still no permit. A cosmetic kitchen refresh where nothing moves, or a bathroom where the fixtures stay put. Coordination starts to matter here, mostly around material lead times that arrive in the wrong order.

Anything permitted. Moving plumbing, gas or electrical, removing a wall, adding square footage, finishing a basement. This needs a licensed contractor pulling the permit in their own name. Our guide on choosing a contractor in Las Vegas covers what to verify before you sign anything, and the Clark County permit guide explains which projects need one.

If you cannot tell which bucket your project falls into, describe it on the phone. It takes two minutes and costs nothing.

The valley we cover

We work across the Las Vegas valley and have since 2005: Las Vegas proper, Summerlin, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Green Valley, Centennial Hills, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Paradise, Anthem, Southern Highlands, Silverado Ranch, Mountain’s Edge, Aliante, Sunrise Manor, Boulder City and the surrounding Clark County communities.

Working one valley for two decades matters more than it sounds. It means knowing which building department your address reports to, which HOA management companies turn a packet around in a week and which sit on it until the board meets, and what the stucco on a twenty-year-old house in your neighborhood was originally sprayed with. None of that is something you can look up.

Who we work for

The people who call us, and what they usually need

01

Homeowners

The bulk of our work. Single-family houses across the valley, most of them built between the late 1980s and the mid 2000s, getting the kitchen, the bathrooms, the floors or the whole house brought up to date.

02

Condo and high-rise owners

Renovations inside buildings with architectural review, insurance certificates naming the association, freight elevator windows and a plumbing riser nobody is allowed to move. See condo remodeling.

03

Landlords and property managers

Turnovers between tenants, unit refreshes on a fixed date, and repairs that have to be priced before an owner will approve them. We have worked for property management and real estate firms in the valley for years.

04

Owners planning to sell

Targeted work that changes what a buyer sees rather than everything at once. Our guide to remodels that add value in Las Vegas is blunt about which ones pay back and which do not.

05

Aging in place

Curbless and walk-in shower conversions, blocking for grab bars, wider doorways and lighting that suits older eyes. Done as part of a normal bathroom remodel, it costs very little more than the version that ignores it.

06

Owners who live out of state

Plenty of valley property belongs to people who live somewhere else. Tell us at the estimate and we will agree up front how you want progress reported and how approvals get signed, so distance never becomes the reason a job stalls.

Common questions

Remodeling services in Las Vegas

Do you take on small jobs, or only full remodels?

Both. A single room, a repaint, a floor repair and a stretch of trim are all normal work for us. There is no minimum project size, though for very small jobs we will sometimes tell you a handyman is the more sensible hire.

Can you handle a whole-home renovation?

Yes, and it is some of the most satisfying work we do. It runs as one project with one schedule rather than a series of disconnected jobs, which is the main reason whole-home renovations go wrong when they are self-managed.

Do you work on commercial property?

We do. The A-Z Women’s Center rebuild on East Flamingo is on this site as a case study, and we run commercial work around operating hours so a business can stay open.

Do you charge for the estimate?

No. We come out, look at the project, measure, and give you a written price and a finish date. It costs nothing and puts you under no obligation.

Can I supply my own materials?

Yes. Most clients pick finishes with us and let us handle procurement so deliveries line up with the schedule, but if you would rather buy your own we will tell you exactly what we need and when it has to be on site.

How far ahead should I book?

For a large project, start the conversation two to three months before you want construction to begin, so design and approvals are not the thing holding you up. Smaller work can usually start much sooner.
